My first impression of Weddings By Design was one of professionalism and sheer talent. We met Nikki on a night that suited our busy schedules and started talking about our dream wedding. She was so warm and welcoming and we both felt so comfortable. The most important thing for us is that Nikki asked us what we wanted for our special day and established a budget that we could afford. From this moment I knew Nikki and Andrew were going to create and plan the most perfect day.  

I never felt stressed as Nikki would talk to suppliers on our behalf then send through the quotes and deposit details. I didn’t have to think about a thing. With such experience in wedding planning I knew she would be sourcing only the best suppliers for our day. For example Andrew was able to negotiate prices with our venue.  This saved us thousands of dollars. She regularly updated our budget spread sheet so we were kept on track financially the whole time. No question or idea was too hard. Nikki always responded to emails or phone calls within a few hours (we often exchanged emails at midnight some nights).  

Nikki also styled our wedding reception and ceremony for us. My now husband is from the country and we were able to incorporate that into the styling while still keeping the vintage/glamour theme we initially discussed. 

I trusted Nikki’s expertise so much that I wanted her to surprise us with the styling of the reception room. Myself, Sam and our 2 children had the reception room revealed to us prior to our guests being seated. We were all in tears - it was simply breath taking. I am still receiving texts and phone calls from our guests talking about how beautiful the reception was. It was like nothing I had seen before. Nikki’s attention to detail with the use of florals, candles and other styling elements was absolutely stunning. 

Nikki sent us copies of the wedding day time line, nothing was left to chance. She was at our hotel at 7am, Nikki and Andrew both attended the ceremony and they did not leave the reception till 9pm. Friends commented that I was so calm on my wedding day. My response was that when you have a wedding planner and stylist as organised and talented as Nikki I had no reason to stress or worry. This allowed me to just enjoy the whole experience. Everything flowed and the day and night was just perfect. We both wish we could do it again!!! 

Whether it be planning, styling or both, Sam and I highly recommend Nikki and Andrew. Their service and expertise is nothing short of exemplary. We knew that they had our best interests at heart and that they wanted to create the perfect day for us. They are genuine, hard working and so talented and we are very grateful for everything they did for us. We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect wedding.
